Prime Minister Viktor Orban said Thursday the goal is to have nuclear power provide 60 percent of the country's electricity needs, compared with around 40 percent now. Hungary's only nuclear power plant is located in the south-central city of Paks and has four Soviet-made reactors. Orban spoke after a meeting with his Czech counterpart, Petr Necas. The Czech Republic's six nuclear reactors produce a third of its electricity and the government plans to at least double that output over the next 50 years.
